Summer has been hot to trot with new beauty launches. I am putting together a Blogger mail vid with the majority of them, but I wanted to shower some extra special attention on my top 6 beauty obsessions for this summer. Seriously, these picks got me like, dayyyyyymmn. Also, can we just talk about how the colour coordination going here? Totally, accidental FYI!
Frank Body Grind High Club – Travel Edition Mini’s
Not entirely sure why it took me so long to try Frank Body. I don’t often actively seek out body scrubs, I’m lazy like that. But Frank Body was calling my name. I’m obsessed with the brand from the packaging alone, the little scrub packs look like the chicest little pouches of caffeine from your favourite hipster coffee joint. The brown paper packaging adorned with cute pastel colour labels depicting the scent of each scrub. There are 4 x flavours in the travel pack are: Coconut (antibac & hydrating), Peppermint (for tired muscles), Cacao (to fight antioxidants) and Original (the classic).
I’ve got scrubbing mad, especially in prep for my holiday! The uplifting scents in the shower do as much for my mood as they do for my dry skin. I’ve fallen in love with Frank just as the weather turns nice and the legs are out out out! Already a scrub convert? Give the body cream ago it’s deliciously creamy.
Disclaimer: As much as you might want to pop these in your cafetiere don’t, they are for topical use only! 😉

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in Backtalk
2016 is turning out to be the year of the matte, mauve lip. The stash of pantone mauve shades are ever increasing in my lipstick drawer. Last year it was all about MAC Mehr but the latest VICE lipstick launches from Urban Decay have me converted to a more hydrating matte colour. Introducing BACKTALK, the prettiest mauve hue that doesn’t make you look dead but still on trend (this is important,no?). The comfort matte formula is a beaut to apply with rich, pigmented colour, gliding effortlessly on the lip and staying put in a smooth velvety finish. IT’S LOVE and I can see the bullet disappearing way too fast!
Origins GinZing Peel Off Mask
I’m usually once to reach for a hydrating masque rather than one to refresh and refine pores but summer always mean my skin feels more clogged and oily and Origins’ GinZing Mask has been my once a week saviour. Not as harsh as a charcoal mask the ginseng and coffee infused formula contains fruit acids to give my skin a gentle exfoliation to make it feel so soft as well as removing trapped dirt from pores. Bonus points for how freaking cool this looks when it dried in a shiny, taught copper film. I look like an Oscar, the award not the man…it feels satisfying AF when I manage to peel it off in one go as well. Perfect for skin that needs a little clean up with out being too astringent.
By Terry Sun Designer Palette in 1 Tan & Flash Cruise
This was the first thing I was ever shown by By Terry at a press breakfast last month. It was love at first sight. Just look how gorgeous this product is! It looks like it’s fresh a super yacht at the St Tropez harbour; glamour, exoticism and luxury all rolled into one palette that feels expensive as it actually is!
What’s really special about the By Terry powders are the glowing and hydrating formulations. I’m already a convert to the By Terry Hydra setting powder (more info here) these have the same sort of formula that buffs seamlessly into skin giving it a smoothed out perfected glow. And then there is the colours….drooooool.
Bumble and bumble Invisible Oil Dry Oil Finishing Spray
I’m a big big fan of B&B’s Invisible Oil range. My hair is quite fine and dry meaning it needs extra moisture but looks dirty when it has too much product in it. Invisible Oil’s latest addition to the range has become a staple of my haircare routine. The Dry Oil Finishing Spray is the last thing I add to my hair whether I’m styling or just letting it air dry. It’s got UV protection in it making it perfect when you are spending time outside and adds a lovely silkiness and shine to hair and doesn’t weigh it down. It does come out the nozzle quite aggressively, I was worried I had put too much on at first but true to it’s name it felt super light on the hair. I will be taking the on holiday with me, for sure!
Out in the UK September 2016 or available in US here.
L’Oreal Glam Bronze Cushion de Soleil
The cushion product obsessed just left base territory towards bronze town! L’Oreal sent me the new Cushion Bronze de Soleil compact to try out and I love it, not as much as the L’Oreal Cushion foundation, but it’s still a fabulous product that creates the most gorgeous, buildable bronzed look on the face. Think of super-light, dewy formula infused with colour to create as much tan as you want on your face. Excellent for pale girls too, this settles quickly but keeps the glow going. I would recommend using a beauty blender or kabuki to apply this for more precision than what the sponge it comes with gives you. These cushion formulations are so so good even my mum has just bought her 2nd one and she never uses drugstore products.
