I am going to kick start the first ever Beauty Lobster post with a 2-part LFW entry. I was down at London Fashion Week this year and if there is one place to see the most fashion forward faces, it is here. Like a flock of flamingos at a watering hole the talent was in its hordes, however there were two definite looks that seemed to dominate the courtyard at Somerset House.

Colour washed locks show no signs of stopping and the fashionistas at LFW were awash with colour. It’s no surprise that the trend is becoming more accessible with salons (other than Bleach London) sitting up and taking note. Wella salons now offer semi-perm colour washes to all its customers and brands like Fudge Urban are retailing hair chalk for a less permanent, colourful solution.

If you are thinking about taking the semi-perm plunge then check out my top looks on some of the cool-girls rocking rainbow hair.

Pernille Nadine | @pernillenadine

Makeup Artist

Face: Chanel Vitalumiere & Mac Skin Finish

Eyes: Eyeko Mascara

Brows: Eyeko Brow Gel

Lips: Coral Bliss by Mac

Hair: Awkward Peach by

Bleach London

Beauty Lobster Notes

I love Pernille’s all over peachy glow which she extends into her colour rinsed hair. She keeps the look slick by tying her hair back into a low bun. Peach and red are an unlikely colour paring but the coral red lip offsets the look, keeping it warm.

Ella Caney-Willis | @Ellasayshiya

On a Gap year

Face: Garnier BB Cream

Eyes: Rimmel Mascara in Black

Lips: Vaseline

Hair: Stargazer Colours; Tropical Green, Violet, Soft Cerise

Beauty Lobster Notes

Ella is a breath of fresh air at LFW. Her no makeup look with just a hint of mascara shows her youthful loveliness. Ella colours her mermaid hair herself by combing through random chunky highlights of the 3 Stargazer wash-in, semi-perms above. Her black trilby and oversized denim add to her laid-back, 90’s charm.

Victoria | @inthefrow

Face: Charlotte Tilbury Swirl & Pop Blush and Film Star Bronze & Glow Contour Palette

Eyes: Body Shop Eyeshadow in 315 Mon Cherry

Lips: YSL Rouge Volupe #1

Hair: Bruised Violet by Bleach London

Beauty Lobster Notes

Victoria really stood out from the rest of the colour washed crowd at LFW. I love how she turns the organic-ness of the home-dyed trend on its head and instead paints a very haute-couture feel; this is extenuated by the sleek, bouffant ponytail. I like how she looks chic and polished; there is something very Daphne Guinness about her look.

Kyla | @Kylalagrange

Eyes: Silver Molten Shadow and Black Liquid Liner by NYX

Lips: Lipmix in White and Hue Lipstick by Mac

Hair: Awkward Peach by Bleach London

Beauty Lobster Notes

You can tell Kyla is a blonde underneath and that’s why this peachy rinse is perfect for her pretty locks. She keeps her hair in natural waves and in a low side part with the other side pinned back for drama. To get sky high root volume like Kyla, add a sprinkle of Tresemme Plumping powder to your roots. Kyla’s makeup is pretty and pink with her nudey-pink lips and pink blush working in harmony with her hair. She wears head-to-toe black to inject a little rock-chic into her look.

Fabienne | @Fabiennedesfleurs

Presenter |DJ | Stylist

Lips: Glitter Lips in Ultra Glam

Hair: Crazy colour in Lavender and Bubblegum Blue

Beauty Lobster Notes

You can see that Fabienne is dedicated to this look as she matches her two-tone lilac and blue hair to her shaggy cropped jacket. This bubblegum-punk look is super cute with an edge. Although Fabienne’s hair is two different colours she’s not afraid to throw them up together in a high pony tail and let the colours blend, it’s like a bag of pick’n’mix! Her leather choker and nose ring add’s a punkish element before this look becomes too sugarcoated.

I hope you enjoyed the Colour Rinse edit on real girls who are rocking this look. Is there a trend you want to see covered, leave a comment below. Are you featured this month? If so, don’t forget to re-gram your pics with hashtag #beautylobster and @stylelobster as well so I can see!
