Pigmentation is a huge concern for many women; top causes including pregnancy mask, dark spots for sun or ageing and acne scarring to name a few. Caudalie is one of my favourite French skincare brands that have successfully tapped into the incredible skin benefits procured from the humble grape.
Their Vinoperfect Radiance Serum is fantastic for reducing discolouration and pigmentation on the face. All the women in my family and have tried it and love it! New to the line this month is their Vinoperfect Radiance Tinted Moisturiser. A natural step in the cosmetic direction, this makeup/skincare duo was formulated with Viniferine from the sap of the grape vine and has been used for hundreds of years to reduce pigmentations…
It’s a sort of cover and cure all in one and also includes ingredients for reducing excess sebum and oil and a broad spectrum SPF. The moisturising formula is said to eradicate the use for a moisturiser in-between your serum and makeup.
The BB comes in two shades: light and medium and I would describe the light colour as quite warm/pink toned which I wouldn’t use it as I prefer yellow-toned bases. Although the shade options are minimal it is sensible to not launch a full colour way before seeing if the product is a success with customers but I found the light shade not compatible with my skin shade.
Although massive fan in general of the Vinoperfect range I do not rate this BB. Although it’s a strong idea creating a multipurpose cover and cure formula I found that the product didn’t do enough to moisturise or cover my skin either way and when tried on top of a moisturiser I found the product sat on top of the skin in a film nor did it sink in or blend into my skin when lightly buffed.
I LOVE and will continue to use the Vinoperfect Radiance Complexion Correcting Serum to fight and prevent pigmentation and discolouration but I think it’s back to the to the Laboratory for the BB.
