WOWZERS. Just when I thought my life was complete with copper candle holders, copper tooth brush and a copper choker along comes the ultimate hair tool in a sexy new jacket! Introducing the ghd Copper Luxe coincidently just in time for Christmas gifting. GET THE LOOK: A SLEEK TWISTED CHIGNON WITH GHD
At the forefront of hair trends ALWAYS ghd continue to reinvent the wheel each time they release a new ceramic hair straighter. You think, “how could my pair of irons get any prettier or more multi-functional?”, then BAM the new style comes out and suddenly your hair kit seems lacking.
Aside from the gorgeous coppery makeover I immediately noticed the new ghd’s have a sleek, more rounded shape making them even better for dual styling. If you’re like me and never really managed to get the hang of curling you hair with a pair of straighter (contradiction, what?) then the model has been redesigned to make this even easier with the cylinder style barrel.
It also has some funky new sounds that bleep when the iron turns on and heats up. The temperature maintains a safer 180 degrees and the ceramic high gloss coated plates leave the hair feeling softer after use. I don’t flat iron hair straight a lot but I was impressed with how sleek and not dry my hair felt after use.
Another feature that really impressed me was the universal voltage. I’m sat writing this in my bed in Barbados with a halo of frizz because my curling wand and dryer don’t work here with any adapter. Screwed myself over there… I’ll be packing the ghd’s next time. There’s also a 2-year guarantee with the model and an automatic shut off to switch your styler off after 30 minutes of non-use, for forgetful girls.

I’ve created a sleek and polished hair look for the holiday party season and part of ghd’s #GlitzTheSeason campaign. This sleek, low, twisted chignon style is really easy to re create and always looks elegant.
These are the products I used to re create this look. I always without fail use a heat protection spray with heat tools it’s a must! I always sprayed on some of the Straight and Smooth spray before straightening too just to ensure my hair was as smooth as possible for this style. I finished with the Final Shine Spray for extra polish.
