SLIGHTLY OBSESSED: NUDE LIPSTICKS

IMG_6732I am moving house in a few months so decide to get knee deep amongst my grossly huge blogger hoard of makeup and skincare in the run up to moving. Apart from this being a surprisingly cleansing and calming exercise I also discovered I own a bazillion cleansers, 17 lip balms (all opened and used) 11 different toners and that I may have a slightly unhealthy addicted to buying nude lipsticks.

IMG_6734I usually find myself buying lipstick when I’m either in a really great mood (celebratory, high on life purchase) or when I’m in a not so great mood (cheer myself up, silver lining purchase). It turns out that I’ve been sourcing the same sort of colours and repurchasing again and again..oops.IMG_6733

Startwith the Bobbi Brown lipstick top right and moving round in a clockwork fashion:

Bobbi Brown in Brownie

Rimmel London Kate Moss Spring Collection in 19

Revlon – discontinued

Laura Mercier in Pink Blush

Elizabeth Arden in Pale Petal

Models Own in Nude

Guerlain in Bianca

Guerlain in Bonnie

Bobbi Brown in New Pale Beige

MAC in Hue

Topshop in Mink – discontinued

After throwing out quite a few old ones and some yellow based nudes that were not suited to my skintone I decided to keep these.

After much deliberation and swatching these are my favourite most worn nudes.

Elizabeth Arden in Pale Petal – my perfect wash out, nude 60’s style lipstick

Rimmel London Kate Moss Spring Collection in 19 – the perfect pretty but natural pink nude

Bobbi Brown in Brownie – my favourite brown-pink nude, totally natural and no too much yellow

What lipsticks shade do you own the most of? Do you prefer nudes in summer, winter or all year round?
