Last week it was raining, windy and so damn muggy everyone in London fell into a tizz about what to wear, frizzy hair and makeup sliding off your face faster than an avocado turns from ripe to rotten.
London felt oppressive and stifling that week except for one place nestled right in the heart of Chelsea, there was Paradise.
In honour of 3 new makeup launches (in store now and more on these below) L’Oreal hosted me and a group of awesome beauty bloggers at a beautiful 3 story townhouse for the day where we became fully immersed in a basin of pinks, petals, rose gold, four-poster beds and silky loungewear. Not only was Paradise visually stimulating and decadent, but our senses were indulged all day long with endless champagne, a 3 course lunch and a room holding an entire bakery of sweet treats for grazing on.
I was reminded that we don’t have to look to shores afar to find a moment of paradise. Simply bringing a bunch of talented and lovely girls together for a glass or two of bubbles in a four-poster bed for a few hours of chatting and laughing is a perfectly PERFECT moment.
To coincide with our day in Paradise we got the chance to try out 3 new makeup launches from L’Oreal all in the prettiest of rose gold packaging as well as shoot some pretty awesome images with beauty photographer Mark Cant.
The hero product in this dreamy line up is Lash Paradise; a volume building mascara that cares for your lashes. The formula contains castor oil, which your lashes will love and hours after application lashes still feel soft and feathery.
I personally put my lashes through quite a lot even month; from tinting to daily curling so something that doesn’t dry out and feel brittle (despite double layering most days) is a welcomed change.
The brush is full and fat and holds a ton of the formula. I’ve been wearing it for a week and I can tell you this is a great product that feels good and performs really well all for a drugstore price (RRP £11.99). I hope they bring out a brown soon!
Paradise Brow Pomade
Anything BROW and I’m already sitting on the edge of my seat so when I first got to try out the new Brow Pomade I was so excited. The packaging is beyond chic; rose gold pink lids with a built in precision brush system, the product sits in a glass pot.
The formula is matte and very highly pigmented but still glide-y and malleable. I found it very good at creating both the bold “Insta-Brow” look that is very precise and quite filled in and a more feather-y, natural brow look I normally wear.
It has all-day wear and I LOVE how you get the brush built in; its cost effective and functional and half the price of similar product at £9.99 (RRP).
There is five shades
- Warm Blonde
- Dark Blonde
Finally to complete the eye look L’Oreal have launched 2 x new Paradise Kajals in black and white. I am a big fan of Kajal and opt daily to define my eyes a little more by smudging some along the lash line.
These two products are ultra creamy and glide on outer and inner lash line effortlessly. They are workable at first but then set and have up to 14 hours of wear. RRP £7.99.
My favourite pick of these 3 launches has to be the Paradise Mascara. Through trialling I honestly think this is a perfect mascara. Easy to work with and build, I loved the volumising effects and above all the fact it didn’t flake or ever feel dry makes it a clear winner IN and ON my eyes. LOL.
