Sometimes I have just concealer and a lip balm in my handbag, these are usually dark days when I either CBAssed with personal grooming or I’m feeling slightly out of control with time/work/relationships. Usually the more makeup in my on-the-go makeup bag the more positive, successful and in control of my life I feel.
My cute little kitten printed Paul & Joe beauty bag is currently brimming with exciting products. If I try a product and it makes it into the Paul and Joe kitten pouch then it’s done something right because this little pouch comes with me everywhere, most days.
Also, like most gals, my everyday beauty bag is constantly being updated, new products come in that fit better with my current lifestyle and others get re-shelved.
Let’s take a look inside…
When worn simultaneously these products allow me to create a full but natural makeup look, perfect for everyday at work and weekend activities. I can go heavier with base, blush and bronzer and switch up to a darker lipstick for a more dramatic look if I need a little more drama.
Also I am showing these products as they are; loved, used and abused. No filter, it’s real!
Up until now my On-the-go beauty bag has never has a foundation in it! I can usually rely on a mix of concealers to create a flawless enough base but this little baby came into my life and found a sweet spot to settle.
Light Wonder Foundation in Fair 3 by Charlotte Tilbury
Charlotte Tilbury is yet to create a product that I am dissatisfied with. I tried the Light Wonder Foundation for the first time in my CT Nighttime Makeup vlog (click here to watch) and I loved it. What a perfectly indulgent and light consistancey, a halo of light effect. Perfect for everyday and buildable if needed.
Amazing Concealer in Light Golden
The newest love in my concealer collection is Amazing Concealer. I LOL’ed at the name when I got a sample of this but blimey, I couldn’t think of a more appropriate name now. So intensely pigmented you need a seed sized dot for the under eye area. It’s super creamy and thick and goes a long way, never cakes or crusts.
Oil Free Prier by Laura Mercier
This usually isn’t in the On-the-go bag but it’s lounging like part of the crew because I’ve gone away for the weekend. I like this primer a lot – it’s great for dewy makeup looks because it’s oil free and keeps the makeup in place but if I’m wearing heavier, drier foundations then I’ll sub it for something more moisturising.

Bronze Goddess Creme Blusher LTD Edition by Estee Lauder
I must be pissing everyone off by now because I talk about this a lot and you can’t even get it anymore, SOZ. My favourite cream blush ever is this limited edition Bronze Goddess one. The formula is perfect and glow-y, easy to apply and smudge out and looks so natural. The soft pink coral is perfect for pale and tanned skin too. IF you’ve found a dupe – please let me know!Beach Stick in Ibiza by Charlotte Tilbury
I have so many contouring products and although this isn’t my favourite in formula (click here for my favourite contouring product) it’s damn good and comes in a really handy, twisty chubby stick-style applicator. Great for on the go contouring and doubles up as a bronzer as well. I use the Estee Lauder Sculpting brush to blend this.
Brow Powder Duo in ****& Sable Duo Brow Brush by Anastasia Beverly Hills
I popped this beauty on my Christmas list and was slightly startled when I unveiled a charcoal looking powder however, this is a great match to my ashy coloured brows. The travel-size, double ended applicator is especially good for applying the product (the brush is firm but thin).
Colour Chameleon in **** by Laura Mericer
This does currently need a sharpen! I love this pencil shadow stick because I use it as eyeshadow and liner. It’s blendable and long-wear. A simple smudge across the lids will make my blue eyes look more intense. I’ll run it around the waterline if I want a more made up look.
There are plenty of brilliant mascaras out there and right now I am loving Laura Mercier’s Full Blown Supreme Mascara. It’s not a fav fav but it’s decent quality so I’ll use it til it’s done and dusted.Lips
Lipsticks are the product that gets changed out most frequently. A girl’s lipstick can be indicative of her mood and I will often sub a colour/texture depending on the outfit I’m wearing.
Coco Rouge Shine Lipstick in Adrienne by Chanel
I always carry a natural nude with me, it’s the easiest to apply in a rush and finishes a face. Currently I’m repping one of the new Chanel Coco Rouge Shine nudes in Adrienne. I slick this on and dab out all over the lips.Matte Revolution Lipstick in Love Liberty by Charlotte Tilbury
Just in case I have an impromptu dinner or event to go to straight from work I always pack a bolder colour. A pop of colour can change your mood and confidence dramatically and right now I am carrying Love Liberty by Charlotte Tilbury. This beauty is a sublime berry pink which can be layered on for a dramatic lip look or dabbed on for a rose petal stain. The texture is a modern matte.
