For Dry and Flaky Skin

Oskia Perfect Cleansing Balm and Muslin Cloth Method < click to shop

It can be so frustrating when you skin is flaky or has dry patches. It can drive you to buying the sandiest, roughest exfoliator you can get your paws on. STOP RIGHT THERE! Sandy exfoliators may get rid of flakiness but what about the dry raw irritated skin underneath? You need to treat this new skin sweet otherwise flakes will return with vengeance.

Oskia’s Perfect Cleansing balm is pretty perfect for this cold-weather skin ailment. Reaching for this nutrient and vitamin rich balm to deeply cleanse, decongest, brighten and restore moisture levels.

Massage this balm into skin concentrating on the extra dry patches. Then take a muslin cloth and run under hot water and wring out. Wash off the cleanser, again concentrating on the extra dry patches to gently buff away dry skin. The result is a vitamin infused and silky soft complexion.

Burts Bees Intense Hydration Treatment Mask < click to shop

I was first shown this mask at an intro to Burt’s Bees master class. This has been an absolute essential to my skincare regime this winter! A promised cure to tight and thirsty skin, I use a thin layer of this cream mask all over my face on the weekend, on a no makeup day or sometimes post shower.

You are supposed to leave it on for 10 mins then tissue off the excess but when it came to removing the product, my skin had drank up every single drop leaving plump and moisture loaded skin. This is the ultimate repair mask for dry skin. A must buy!IMG_9212For Over Sensitised Skin

Trilogy Very Gentle Serum < Click to shop

If you have sensitive skin like me you probably noticed how your skin flares up and goes red at the slightest temperature change. Hot to cold outdoors or cold to hot, I am always fighting a red flush in the winter months. Also with it being party season my face’s worst enemy is the wine and central heating combo. No amount of concealer will keep Rudolph at bay.

Trilogy’s Very Gentle serum is the perfect winter skin calmer. I use this after a shower and before I put my makeup on for a night out to ensure my skin is soothed and calmed. This serum reduces redness and inflammation while protecting the skins natural barrier function. Calendula and chamomile are the serums main calming ingredients to help intolerant skin.IMG_9205For the Hands

Caudalie Hand & Nail Cream < click to shop

I rarely use hand cream in summer but in the winter months I always have one in my handbag. My fav hand cream is this Caudalie one. It’s not too heavy but does feel like it cocoons the hands with a protective barrier. It also works on dry nail and cuticles. The smell is gorgeous with anti-aging grape extracts. Super silky results, with no grease.IMG_9215 IMG_9216Chapped Lips

Nuxe Reve de Miel – the one, the only < click to shop

I love this product so much that I often gift it to my friends, who in turn cannot live without it either. Reve de Miel has a really unique texture, almost like solid honey. When rubbed onto the lips it melts deliciously but not so much as it forms a protective barrier from cold weather. There is a graininess to it which did take some getting used to but within a week this became an “I can’t live without it” product.

This also works as an overnight treatment for the lips. Comprises of honey, plant oils, shea butter and grapefruit essence.IMG_9224 IMG_9218The All Purpose Balm

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Skin Protectant Nighttime Miracle Moisturizer < click to shop

Random dry patches? Body lotion not cutting it? The Elizabeth Arden Cult fav was reinvented into this lavender scented balm for winter. Rub on heels, elbows and stubborn dry patches for an 8 hour cure. Personally I avoid using this on the lips as it contains Petroleum.

Are there any cold weather besties you can’t live without? Let me know below!
