Silks and the poor ladies silk, satin, are massively on my style radar right now. Recently my pennies have been poured into expanding my “haute” leisurewear collection, as changing out of my daily clothes and slipping into something comfortable and stylish/sexy (or all of the above) has been a huge help in being able to wind down after a busy day.
My most fav bra design and most favourite luxury lingerie designer come together to make the Grey Boudoir Heiress Bra by Fleur of England. This smoky grey lilac compliments the palest of skin tones too. I love the delicate appliqué lace design over the nipple area with sheer mesh making up the majority of the cup. Pure boudoir and also on sale now!
Moving one step up from lingerie to night/loungewear I am all about these Satin-y little sets from ASOS. They do them in loads of colours and are really well priced. Slip it on and feel like a goddess in bed, in the kitchen, everywhere…
These Italian N°21 Bow Satin slippers in navy have blown my tiny, stylish mind. This shoe is like a sexy compilation of all my fav trends right here, right now. Navy + satin + architectural bow + slider cum loafer = dream footwear. Unfortunately these don’t come at a dream price (£335). *Places firmly in the forever wish list category.
Ever since spending stupid amounts of money on my bedroom became a “thing” I’ve been seriously considering investing in silk pillow cases. They are said to keep hair frizz-free and face wrinkle-free. Cream ones seem naff and dated so when I found these Mink coloured ones from John Lewis for £35 a pop I decided to make the dream becomes a reality.
There’s a lot I like about this Topshop blush satin top with bow. Let’s start with the minimal sheath shape, the slightly cropped sleeves, the panel shape and the side tie. The perfect way to elevate a pair of jeans.
Urban Decay make some of the best, creamiest, pigment-rich eyeshadow in the biznez. The new shades of the Satin formulas are beautiful. Staying with the taupe-y mink theme is this lovely colour called Bust. Perfect for a wash of on-trend colour across the lid. Cushiony, blendable and long-lasting, this will become a makeup bag staple.
Nude with a hint of pink in a satiny finish, the perfect everyday lipstick is by Illamasqua in the shade Cherub. I am a big fan of these formulas and a satin lipstick is the easiest and most comfortable finish to wear. A nice pay day treat/investment.
The bomber jacket trend shows no signs of stopping so pick up this Shell Pink Sateen Bomber Jacket by New Look and layer over polo neck jumpers until the weather gets brighter. Only £27.99
I’m eager to find a way to pull off the pyjama trend as everyday wear ever since Jessica Alba wore Dolce and Gabbana pjs to an event. These Topshop Satin Pyjama Style Wide Leg Trousers by Boutique are enabling the dream. The navy colour means they slide easily into the work wear category and look super chic and fancy at the same time. Also they are in the sale too. Praying they still have my size by payday!
