Christmas hasn’t even passed yet but all December I’ve my gearing myself (and my wardrobe) up for the biggest party night of the year! A lot of people are like, “F**k that, I’m staying in. It’s always such a let down”. I used to be one of those people too (bah humbug). But then I got an attitude adjustment and a new outfit.
NYE is a one big fat sparkly excuse to dress up in the coolest, sexiest, most sequined shiny outfit you have the guts to wear out. My latest Youtube upload is a FESTIVE NYE LOOBOK all about party wear! I pulled together 4 very different looks I absolutely love. This post is 1 of 2 blogs where I little break down 2 of my favourite looks from the video a little more depth in case you guys wanted MORE NYE sparkle! And plus I loved the piccys!
The first look is a navy and silver look I call modernist because of the beautiful origami style folds of fabric on the minimal t-shirt style dress. This dress is fun and playful with a serious fashion twist. I colour blocked it with my ASOS White Navy faux fur bomber. This piece is serious luxe and set me back a couple hund-y last winter. I will have it forever though!
Silver accents keep the look cool and cool toned. As you know I’m a sucker for a metallic bag or shoe. I am obsessed with sock boots this year and Senso were one of the first brands to bring them out a few years ago. This silvery pair has metallic thread woven throughout and properly cling to the ankle so no looseness that I hate! The heel is also geometrically cut which looks great with the boxy bag shape and satin dress folds. I’m wearing a nude lip by Bobbi Brown in Uber Nude and loose tousled waves. My hair here is still quite silvery from the when I went lilac on a Color Club Live job, but I think it fits perfectly with the cold winter setting.
