My mood has been lifted so much with the bursts of sunshine we’ve been having recently. The city can be such a moody and grey place but when it’s bathed in spring sunshine everything and everyone is somehow lifted, shining and more positive.
It’s now that I get the urge to start wearing next to nothing spring dresses and sandals but the weather is deceiving and there’s still a nip in the air. I end up opting for either bare arms and boots or sandals with a chunky knit.
I tend to stay away from camel hues when I’m not tanned because they can wash me out but the tobacco caramels and beiges in this look are cool-toned which compliments my skin tone so much more.
Let’s start with this chunky knitted jumped. I love the shape, it’s stylish and on trend and stops a simple jeans and jumper looks from being too basic with the high neck and voluminous sleeves. It’s got a cool zip details on the back too.
The paper bag trousers come in regular or petite and I’m wearing the petite here because I prefer to show a little more ankle than have a trousers leg skimming my shoe. I hate when that happens > fab to drab in .02 seconds. These also look great with a tucked in plain white tee and Vans too. I love a little tailoring in a casual look.
These clog / platform hybrids are so so fab. The big pearl stud work caught my attention immediately. Again, that perfect balance between causal and something a little bit more special which makes them perfect for the everyday but interesting #ootd’s.
The gold and pearl drop earrings are Accessorize and the glasses are my Classic gold rimmed Aviators by Ray Ban.
What do you think of this look? Are you a fan of the camel tones? Also how fabulous is Next right now or am I just getting older…
Do you ever take a second to look for clothes here? I’m finding so much stuff in their new season drops that excites me!
