GING-HAM. Arguably the biggest trend of the summer. I like to think I was ahead of the trend though, first wearing this New Look Gingham Wrap top (that every blogger has) 7 months ago! Proof here girls.
Everybody wants to wrap themselves up in a gingham picnic blanket and call it a dress today. You wouldn’t be far off if you tried this either as many of the gingham bits in my wardrobe are wrap dresses creatively tied up.
I bought the same Gingham New Look blouse above in 2 different colours. Then I bought the dress version and THEN went into Zara last week and bought their version of the dress in Red, as seen in the blog. I also own 2 x gingham strappy dresses in black and white. They are the same exact dress apart from one had spaghetti straps the other, wider straps. In fact I ordered a gingham bikini last night. This one. I am obsessed. When will it end? Probably as soon as summer does. There’s something slightly inappropriate about wearing gingahm out of summer unless you are 5 years old or younger.

Anyway, for now let us just appreciate this glorious gingham phase we are all blindly immersed in. See my top Gingham picks below and a little more on this easy breezy summer look!
The dress is from Zara. I hate everyone that works in Zara and every time I have a bad experience in store I swear to god I’ll never go back. They don’t even do affiliate links for the products I am constantly buying and promoting across my channels. Where is the love guys?
But then they bring out a dress, like this rather lovely little house on the prairie/mild maid dress. It has Bardot shoulders too and a long waist tie i can tie into a big floppy bow. It’s red. I love it. it works with every mule I own. I bought it. Fuck you, Zara.
Also, no regrets because it’s the breeziest little number as well. Perfect with all this stiflingly hot weather we’ve been having. That is NOT a complaint!
I paired it with these new Tassle slip ons from & Other stories which I LOVE LOVE LOVE and again look great with everything.
My newest designer bag purchase is the J W Anderson Piercing bag in medium, brown. Ahhh, I wanted this for so long and I finally bought it for myself, with no help or cash injection or occasion to warrant the purchase, Just a treat to myself. A happy moment 🙂
Back to gingham…
Below are my top picks for what is currently on the high street and a few designer bits to balance things out.
